Well, 2/3 of the protagonists are liberals. The 3rd is in love with one of the two liberals, so it seems safe to assume this is a tale of what MAGAs will do to our country.

No no no. If you read Beneath the Whispering Pines, Nathan loves to use allegories and contrarian tropes. At the end of the series I bet it concludes with "conservatism isn't all that bad".

He's going to go after $$$$. It'll be up to the reader to decide, because in Pines it ended with him thanking God after cursing God when he got g@y bashed, so the reader was supposed to walk away determining if God was his grace or his curse. It'll be the same for ATO. Nathan likes for the reader to think.

Pines is very religious and although Derrick is kind of religious, it's not the key element of the story. The key element is literally how hyper-partisanship can ruin the country, but Derrick is a Jedi and brings balance to the force of Republicans.

That doesnt even make sense, Emp.

Clearly, you're making a lot of presumptions for a trilogy that hasnt even been released yet

Can we even vote on something when the book isn't even out yet?
